Now is the time to get ready For 2018 Summer and Fall Terms at Brookdale.  Beginning March 2nd and every Friday in March 2018, Brookdale Long Branch Center will sponsor FAFSA Fridays.

FAFSA or the “Free Application For Federal Student Aid” is the annual form that current or college-bound students can fill out to determine their eligibility to receive student financial aid. The application is free and Brookdale Long Branch Center staff is ready to help students & families complete it online for the 2018 – 2019 academic year.  Academic Advisors will also be on hand to assist students to create a course schedule and register for the Summer and/or Fall terms.

Each Friday two sessions are offered at 10:00am – 12:00noon or 2:00pm – 4:00pm.  First time or renewal students/families may pre-register to attend one. The sessions are free and reservations are required as space is limited.

For more information or to register call Brookdale Long Branch Center at (732) 229-8440. You can also visit our Facebook Page – Brookdaleatlongbranch – to view the checklist of materials needed to attend and successfully complete the online FAFSA/Financial Aid Form.

Success is closer than you think! Brookdale Long Branch Center is ready to help you start working toward yours.

Many colleges and universities give priority consideration and award packages to students who complete their FAFSA by January 31. HESAA and NJASFAA would like you to remind your senior class that the FAFSA should be completed as soon as possible. Although many of your students may have already completed the FAFSA, others still have not. Processing can take several weeks. The earlier your seniors apply, the earlier they can make informed decisions about their college selection. You can fill out the FAFSA as early as October 1.

Please direct your seniors and their families to our website pages at www.HESAA.org and www.NJFAFSADays.org .There, they will find a YouTube video on how to file the FAFSA, information on how to create an FSAid (Federal Student Aid ID) and the 8 Steps to Apply for Federal & State Student Aid. Also featured online is a helpful PDF file provided in both English and Spanish. Feel free to print and distribute these flyers to your seniors as appropriate.

If you have any questions, please contact Sharon Austin at saustin@hesaa.org or 609-588-3300, ext. 1402.
