    T. Crochet Name: Trevor Crochet

    Grade: 12

Role Model:  Though I have many people in my life who have had an influence me, my biggest role model is my older brother Bailey. Through growing up, I learned to admire his extreme passion and determination. He takes pride in everything he does and is always working to achieve greater success whether it was on the football field, baseball diamond, or in the working departments. What I admire the most of brother is his natural leadership mentality and his willingness to help everyone. He never shies away from any challenge, takes everything head on, and always looks on the positive side. I look to further follow in the foot steps of my brother as a goal driven and well respectable human being with dreams in mind.

Teacher with the most impact:  The teacher that has had the most impact on me was Mrs. Encarnacion. Mrs. Encarnacion was always so positive and passionate in her teaching that it created a great learning environment. In my sophomore English class, we read many American novels including "The Great Gatsby". This one novel, through the content of the story line and Mrs. E's teaching, I learned the importance of chasing dreams in life even when everything seems to be against you. Without Mrs Encarnacion's class, I don't think I would have the same mentality I have today as I truly believe it flipped a switch in me, to work hard for everything you wish to achieve and never take anything for granted.

What do you like most about Shore Regional?  What I like best about Shore Regional is the close, family bond that is within the school. Everyone is filled with Shore Pride and always supports each others whether it is at a game or in the classroom. The strong connection that all of Shore Regional has among the students and teachers, really does creates a one of kind experience.

Activities:  I am enrolled in multiple AP, IB, and Honors classes. I also play football and baseball. Outside of school, I am enrolled in an Emergency Response class and work in the summer as a lifeguard.

Future Goals/Plans:  In ten years, I see myself working in the management or finance department of a business. I also look to travel and explore the different ways of life around the world. I hope to find success in my future job, start a family, and continue to live in Monmouth Beach.

    Cat Ferraro Name:  Catalina Ferraro

    Grade:  12

Role Model:  My role model is my aunt. She is the most generous and kind-hearted human I know. Not only is she generous in the fact that she takes care of me with presents and gifts for special occasions, but she is also generous with her time. My aunt is always there for me when I need her and a human I can truly count on.

Teacher with the most impact:  The teachers that have had the most impact on me are Mrs. Lavin, Mrs. Ensor, and Mrs. Secko. Mrs. Lavin, my art teacher, has taught me to explore my artistic abilities through different medias I have come to use in my artwork. She has helped me grow not only as an artist, but as a young adult. Mrs. Ensor, my sophomore and senior year English teacher, is one of the most giving and compassionate humans I know. She has helped me with everything from English homework and essays to resumes and college applications. If someone needs help, she will give that person all of the time they need, even if it takes the whole day, that is how dedicated she is to her job. She gives me faith to believe that there are people in the world who will help me, even if they don't really know me. Mrs. Secko, my junior year English teacher, taught me how to come out of my shell. I used to be so afraid of public speaking, and even though I still am scared, she taught me how to embrace it and use it for my benefit. She didn't pressure me, but believed in me. Mrs. Secko helped me grow emotionally and gave me faith to believe in myself.

What do you like most about Shore Regional?  The thing I like best about Shore Regional High School are all of the opportunities that it provides. There are so many ways you can get involved and show your support for the Shore Regional community. From the preforming arts to the athletics, Shore Regional has a wide-range of activities you can participate in. There is something for everybody.

Activities: Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, almost everything that I like to participate in has been put on hold. The activities I am currently involved in are IB Art and Surfrider Foundation. I have previously participated in the Jazz Band, Shore Players, International Club, and for a time was on the Swim Team.

Future Goals/Plans:  I see myself walking across 5th Avenue, from my New York City apartment, to my job as curator at the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art).
