    Name:  Jenna Sempkowski

    Grade:  11

Role Model:  I consider my role model to be my mom. I aspire to be just like my mother because she is full of wisdom and independence. She works extremely hard in everything she does and has pushed me to become the student and person that I am today. She always tells me to “do your best” which never fails to motivate me. My mom is my number #1 fan for everything I do and her supportive personality makes me feel beyond loved.

Teacher with the most impact:  There have been many teachers who have affected my academic and personal experience at Shore Regional, including Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Fagen. Mrs. Cook taught me in Honors Biology freshman year and she truly challenged me to put forth the extra 10% on every assignment. Mrs. Fagen is currently my AP Biology teacher and she is always willing to help me better understand each lesson. Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Fagen have both immensely heightened my curiosity in biology. Their vast knowledge of the subject and their simple methods of teaching complex ideas helped me to become a better and more dedicated student. I also admire their organization skills and their availability for their students. Two other teachers that have helped me tremendously would be Mrs. Novak and Mrs. Martin. For the past two years, Mrs. Novak has been my history teacher and she is such a kindhearted person who constantly has a smile on her face. Similarly, Mrs. Martin keeps me balanced throughout the school day and reminds me to stop stressing the small things.

What do you like most about Shore Regional? The best aspect of Shore Regional is the eagerness of the teachers to help their students so that they can succeed. I ask a lot of questions and every single one of my teachers is always ready to answer them with a smile on their face. Shore Regional is also a small school with a welcoming environment. Every morning, I walk into school and I am greeted by both teachers and students with a kind “hello” and “good morning.” All the students know each other's names and everyone always has a friendly face to sit next to in class.

Activities:  I am currently involved in fall cheerleading, basketball, softball, Students for Animal Welfare Club, Conquer Cancer Club, and Rotary Interact Club. I am also formerly part of Class Council as I was Vice President of my class freshman and sophomore year.

Future Goals/Plans:  After I graduate high school, I plan to go to a four-year college and attend graduate school. I hope to pursue a career that I will enjoy waking up to every morning. I also hope to raise a family in a home that I love.
