     Lou Giglio

    Lou Giglio, a 1974 graduate, was a standout in the young soccer history of Shore Regional.  He earned four varsity letters in his scholastic career, starting every game during that span.

    Lou scored 10 goals during his freshmen year, 20 goals during his sophomore year and 25 goals in his junior campaign.  In his senior year he scored a state leading 37 goals with 11 assists which included a record setting 10 goal performance versus Manasquan High School.  Lou was an All Division player during his sophomore year, a 2nd Team All Shore and 1st Team All Division player during his junior year and was a 1st Team All Shore, 1st Team All Group and 1st Team All-State player in his senior year while leading Shore to a 16-2-1 record.  At the time of his graduation, Lou was the Blue Devil’s all- time leading scorer with 92 career goals.

    Upon graduation, Lou continued his education and soccer career at Brookdale Community College where he was the first All American Soccer player in the school’s history as well as being named to the All- Conference team for both of his season’s at Brookdale.

    Lou continued his soccer career at the College of New Jersey where he would become an All Regional performer for the Lions, captain his senior year and All NJAC in both his junior and senior seasons.

    In 2016, Lou was inducted into the Brookdale Community College Athletic Hall of Fame.
