    J. Gordon Name:  Justeen Gordon

    Grade:  12

Role Model:  My family is definitely my ultimate role model because even after 17 consecutive years of my craziness, they still love me the same.  I've never been happier to be born in a family as awesome and loving as mine.

Teacher with the most impact:  Many teachers have impacted me in ways that may appear insignificant at the surface, but even teachers like Mrs. Simonson(French) and Mr. Bennett(History), who I haven't had the privilege of being their student, has taught me that anything is possible with hard work. When I look back, I have so many fond memories of when I was Ms. Schmid(Math) student and teacher for the day, Mr. Mullarney's crazy AP Chemistry student, Mr. Labush's(English) rambunctious jokester, Mrs. Fagen's(AP Biology) star helper, or Mrs. Ross' positive influence in class. Through it all, it was Mr. Whitacre(History) and Mr. Ker's(History) patience with me and Mr. Kulka's(Chemistry) and Mrs. McGowan's(AP Physics) subtle encouragement that's always made me reassured in my decisions and motivated to try my best. Although as a senior all these fun activities and adventures must come to an end, I'm proud that I pushed myself this hard and made it this far because of it and more importantly, had a blast doing it. Also, I want to give special thanks to Mr. Amicucci(Athletic Trainer) who allowed me to get the first-hand experience in the medical field and Mrs. Smith(Nurse) who inspired me to always help others.

What do you like most about Shore Regional?  Shore Regional has allowed me to participate in clubs such as International Club, Medical Career Club and Red Cross Club that have expanded my horizon on the world around me. Through these clubs at shore, I've experienced multiple cultures and have become friends with people from around the world, donated and fundraised for the military and those who are in desperate need, and found my dream of becoming a Physical Therapist because of my dedication to helping others. I've created a family at shore, and it all started from one club.

Activities:  VFrom selling egg rolls as the President of International Club for fundraisers to aiding the Athletic Trainer during football games as a member of the Athletic Trainer Club, I've been involved in clubs of many different various and unique activities. I'm actively involved in International Club and Red Cross Club as the President, Chess Club and Math Club as the captain, and Athletic Trainer Club as a certified aid. I participate in Bowling and Tennis and volunteer at the Jersey Shore Medical Center as an aid and learner to the Physical Therapists there.

Future Plans:  My dream is to become a Physical Therapist and work as the top physician for the NFL. As a result of my hard work and perseverance, I see myself aiding the NFL and its players with my medical expertise in the next ten years. I'm ecstatic to see this dream come into fruition.

    Ryan Kozak Name:  Ryan Kozak

    Grade:  11

Role Model:  My mother is my role model. I have always looked up to her, trying to emulate her charisma. She is the most loving and accepting person I have ever met; she brings out the best in me. I strive to parallel her admirable personality; her work ethic, intelligence, and wit are characteristics I idolize. Her encouragement has helped my find my passions in life and I will forever be appreciative. I hope to one day exemplify these characteristics and match the success that my mother experiences today.

Teacher with the most impact:  Some teachers I have feel have had the greatest impact on me are Mr. Nicol (Honors Algebra II), Mrs. Mazza (Honors Geometry and Trigonometry), and Mrs. Novak (IB History 11). I have always loved Math and Mr. Nicol and Mrs. Mazza have only excelled this feeling. Their balance of seriousness and humor create an environment of learning as well as comfort that helped me grow as a student and a person in Freshman and Sophomore year. Mrs. Novak's caring and kind personality have helped me discover a liking for history and I love being her student this year.

What do you like most about Shore Regional? What I like most about Shore Regional are the teachers. I have never taken a class in which I have finished and felt that it was useless or boring. Every teacher is extremely effective and have the ability to create a class dynamic of enjoyment and growth academically. All of the teachers are extremely nice and I have grown so much from every class I have taken.

Activities:  Academically, I take all AP, IB, and/or Honors classes. Athletically, I am on the varsity swimming and tennis teams. As for clubs and extracurriculars, I am involved in Shore Players, the Concert, Jazz, and Marching Bands, Voices, Model UN, and Math League. I volunteer at my church as an assistant teacher in the Sunday School and I work as a camp counselor at an Armenian Camp in upstate New York over the summer.

Future Plans:  In ten years, I hope to one day either be on Broadway as an actor, pursuing my passion, or working for a company whose priority is helping people.
