Name: Olivia Rescigno
Grade: 11
Role Model: My mom is my role model because she is down-to-earth, compassionate, and very intelligent. She never downplays any problem that I come to her with. I can tell her absolutely anything and, no matter what, she is always there with great advice and logical thinking. If I am anything like her when I am older, I will be beyond fortunate.
Teacher with the most impact: All of my teachers that I have had at Shore have had a positive impact on me. Mr. Nicol was my freshmen year Honors Algebra II teacher. He made an extremely hard subject understandable and enjoyable. He also encouraged me to be myself (or many characters) and not be afraid to take risks. Mr. Labush (Honors English/Psychology) challenged me to think beyond the obvious and to articulate my ideas. Mrs. Mazza (Honors Geo/Trig) impressed upon me her dedication, compassion, and eagerness to see her students succeed. Mrs. Burley (Honors US History/IB History) and Mrs. Bahrs (AP English) both show such support for their students. Their enthusiasm has helped me keep a positive attitude and take pride in my achievements. As one can see, I could go on and on about the great faculty at Shore!
Activities: I am involved in Shore Players, Interact, Italian Club, and am soon to be inducted into National Honor Society.
Future Goals/Plans: After high school I would love to attend a good college that is not too far from home. My ultimate dream is to become an actress, either on screen or on stage.
