    Role Model:

My role model would have to be my mom. She works extremely hard in everything that she does and she is a great person to model myself after. She does whatever she can in order to make the lives of my sisters and I as good as possible, and I admire her for that. Raising four children is not easy, but she does a great job. As far as sports go, my role model would have to be Derek Jeter, the shortstop for the New York Yankees. I have admired him since I was a little kid because of how he plays the game right and because he knows how to win. When he was younger, he always said that he wanted to play shortstop for the New York Yankees, and he proves that dreams do come true, if you put the time and work in.

Teacher(s) with the most impact:  Mr. Ker, my US History I Honors and US History II Honors teacher, and Mr. Labush, my English II Honors teacher, have recently made the biggest impact on me. In Mr. Ker's class, I was forced to work hard for my grades and came to realize what hard work actually meant in a school environment. Even though the workload was a bit difficult, I know that it was worth it because I came to realize that I could get work done like that. Mr. Labush made me a better writer in the course of a year. It was exciting to see myself progress throughout his class as my grades got better and better. I cannot thank these two enough for making me a better student and better person.

Activities: Varsity Baseball, Interact, FOR Club, Sports Involvement Club, National Honor Society

Future Goals/Plans: In the immediate future my goal is to attend a four year college and continue playing baseball there, which will help me work towards my ultimate goal. Ever since I was younger, I have dreamed of playing professional baseball, and I have yet to give up on that dream. I have always been able to see myself playing in the nicest stadiums in the world and matching up with the best players in the world. As long as I have not given up on this dream, I know that there is still hope, and I know that if I continue to work hard enough, I will be able to realize the dream that originated in me when I was just a little kid.

Quote: I have three favorite quotes, all pertaining to baseball:
"The only thing I can do is play baseball. I have to play ball. It's the only thing I know." -Mickey Mantle
"A man has to have goals- for a day, for a lifetime- and that was mine, to have people say, 'There goes Ted Williams, the greatest hitter who ever lived.' -Ted Williams
"You owe it to yourself to be the best you can possibly be- in baseball and in life." -Pete Rose
