Three curriculum committees met November 30th (Social Studies, English Language Arts, and Science) to begin the first major step in unpacked the state / national standards for their area.  Because most Core Curriculum Content Standards are unclear, "Unpacking" the standards is a necessary process;  It takes the guess work out of what should or should not be taught at each grade level.   Each committee had teachers from each of the 4 school districts. The work was tedious and tiring but, the teachers were deliberate and dedicated!  This represents a major step toward aligning the academic expectations for all four districts.  That translates to greater success for all our students!!!!
